Be a REBEL

  • A "presentation" REBEL is defined as someone who:

Revolts against the ordinary and fights for change. A rebel engages with the people and world around them through tireless contribution. He or she bestows their knowledge and shares their gifts with others, which in turn equips their listeners with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to help them grow and become extraordinary. And most importantly, a rebel lives life to the fullest. In the words of a wise man, they understand that life is not a “got to” moment, but a “get to” moment.”

Take Heart

H

ere’s a great quote to remind all of us that it is okay to be fearful of public speaking.
"There is no such animal, in or out of captivity, as a born public speaker."
Every great speaker has worked on his or her craft.  They weren’t born with the skill set.  It’s unnatural.  Great public speaking takes diligence, hard work, and lots and lots of practice.  Take heart in knowing that we all start with a clean slate.

My favourite 'clean slate' quote:

"We are all born naked, wet and hungry. Things can either go rapidly uphill or rapidly downhill from there."

That's true. I don't know anyone who knows math or is even great with it without spending time learning it and constantly practicing. It's a perspective of a lazy person to wait for that moment to come.

All the great things in life have a price. I guess that the price of being a public speaker is the time it takes to learn how to do it and loving it.

I agree with your thougjt. I remember working hard for the things and goals I have today.

I don't think anyone wants to work hard for something they don't like. Loving it makes us more determined to achieve it.
